Social Inspo for May 24

May is on the way! Need some inspo to help you plan your social content for the month? I’ve got your back.

In this post I’ll be giving you:

  • three content ideas to help get those creative juices flowing

  • a curated list of awareness events

  • PLUS three ways you can give your profiles a spruce up for Summer

So let’s get stuck in …

Content Ideas

Take your followers behind the scenes.

Behind the scenes content can really help to humanise your brand and increase your connection with your audience. BTS content could be anything from packaging orders, meeting the team a day in the life of video / reel or a sneak peek of something you’re launching soon. Depending on your brand vibe it can be as formal or as informal as you like.

Blow your trumpet

Got some really fab feedback or a cracking case study? Share away, not only will this help to further position you as an expert in your field but it also adds more credibility to your brand. Better still get your customers singing your praises with some amazing UGC (User Generated Content) that you can re-share and re-purpose in the future.

The perfect match

Share more about your company values and what makes your product / service the perfect solution for them. This will help potential customers better understand who you are and how you work so they know if you are the right fit for them and encourage them to get in touch for a quote or click that “buy now” button.

Awareness Days

Awareness days / weeks are a great way to show to further showcase your values and what matters to you as a business owner and a brand. It can also help you to increase your reach and be found by new people.

When it comes to choosing the awareness days / weeks to create content for it’s important that you thoroughly research the background and only create content for the ones which ones align with your business.

  • Share any products / services / advice that aligns with the day (if applicable)

Time for a spruce up

It’s really easy to get caught up in posting and chatting with your followers and neglect the rest of your profile so this month why not take some time to give your profiles a little spruce up.

  • Update Your Profile: Make sure your bio, profile picture, and contact information are current. Use this opportunity to refresh your bio with any new achievements, offerings or a specific call to action.

  • Declutter Your Content: Take a look at your past posts and hide any super outdated or irrelevant content. This keeps your feed looking fresh and focused on what matters most to your audience.

  • Remove spam accounts: This might reduce your follower count BUT it means going forwards your reporting will be more accurate and you’ll gain better insights into your actual audience demographics, behaviours, and preferences, helping you tailor your content and marketing strategies more effectively.

As with all your marketing goodness make sure you are checking in on your analytics and insights so you can see whats working and what might be falling a little flat and needs a tweak.
